I blame the whole thing on Judy Garland and her sparkly red shoes.

Although originally a native of Long Island, NY, my sights and heart have always led me to big city living. After graduating high school, I headed to the windy city of Chicago, on theater scholarship, and attended Northwestern University under the daily, intensive training of veteran acting scholar, Mary Poole. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in both Theater and English Literature, as well as a minor in Film and Media Studies. Upon graduation, I headed back to my first love, NYC, and trained under the renowned coach, Flo Salant Greenberg, (The New Actor’s Workshop), before being handpicked to study privately with Ann Bowen, the co-founder of L.A.’s “West Coast Theater Ensemble.”

I have always found myself most drawn to the cerebral yet passionate women characters of the day- those that probably, in fact, reflect my own internal Capricorn (practical, logical)/ Aquarius (inventive, abstract) inner struggle. And because of it, I typically portray contemplative, emotional, independent and purposeful females- the ones capable and seemingly always willing to navigate high stakes.

In truth, I guess this has always made me a bit of a Dorothy-

only I've found true inspiration not in my own backyard, but in the power of exploring the brain, the heart, and the courage in being human.

This has most excitingly led me to create and develop the television show, STAND-IN, about a New York TV stand-in fearful that she may in fact be standing-in on her own life.

The show is about the complexities of choice for all modern women and our collective struggle for the right identity.

Stay tuned!
